It’s not accidental if you deliberately catch the ball & run it back? Which he did.
It also wouldn’t allow for NQ to keep the ball. Which they did.
Don’t worry about any of that. Or the charge down where neither marker was onside or square . Not unusual though, as NQ are always offside & markers are never square . Particularly when trying to get to the kicker. The advantage of playing in Queensland perhaps?
👍

Did he run the ball back?

Well with Covid & all. Things must be kept clean. Especially in the state that had cut itself off from everywhere else.

Didn’t see any like that?

Welcome to the club. 👍
Five and a Kick: Sharks avoid double-digit hoodoo to roll Manly, Papi bangs down Origin door as Storm thrash Tigers
Penrith didn’t do every single kick off? There must have been a pretty even split of kick offs. So that would mean that the Cowboys wet the ball 50% of the time. 😂

What if they need water to put on the ball? Or a towel to rub Vaseline on the ball ? Is that alright? Can’t the ball boy do that for them anyway? 😁

So then with no GF wins, their players wouldn’t have gone up in contract value. So all deals are off & former Panthers go back to the club. Other clubs will be disappointed, but thems the breaks! 😛

I think the water on the ball caused Drinkwater to not catch it & kick it forward to an offside teammate? Could be wrong of course.

It’s just embarrassing, but he doesn’t play in the team. Some punishment should be handed out . Yes, was going to say that none of the kick offs were dropped ? So as long as he wasn’t also handing players extra brown paper bags full of money to play , not win , or make it a draw.
( Nothing makes spraying a bit of water on the ball correct. Yet Matthew Johns said Newcastle used to get the ball boy to rub Vaseline on the ball from a towel . When the opposition was getting the ball . )
Sounds like another ball in a water bucket. 😁

You’d have to expect many. I need out of my contract, to go home to be with family though.
The 2027 Perth Bears full transfer shortlist: Let the wild player transfer speculation begin
Well the Roosters versus Central Coast Roosters in Harold Matthews GF. Seems to indicate that that is a place to shop for future players.
Plus many of the players up there , could be another Fuller. Without an opportunity to play at a higher level?

Why not raid the Roosters? With 2 sides at junior levels. Central Coast & Sydney.
How about the Cowboys & Broncos with several feeder clubs ?
Newtown is now often at the top of NSW Cup, as are the Bulldogs now , with all the money they’ve put into juniors from all over the place.
Sounds like better value .

They can try to buy whoever they please , within the laws of the game.
Who wants to fly that distance to the East & back every fortnight?
Or worse!!! Not for say 6 games & then for 6 weeks in a row.
Which includes all the way to NZ & back. 👍

I think that’s already overdone. Hence the short list of Penrith players there.

Talk about real motivation. Ricky provides it for opponents. 😛
Five and a Kick: 'Make the f--king right call!' Payten's blow-up, Dragons forget how to win, Jaeman needs to let grudge go
Well. I never thought looking at this years squad, that they’d be playing finals at all. So I’m not too worried.
I think Talagi is improving. They then could possibly be just 1 dominant forward & a backline replacement or 2 away from another opportunity. I’m betting that the Reopening of the Penrith Stadium in 2027, will bring some better results. There’s not that much between all the sides.
Five and a Kick: 'Make the f--king right call!' Payten's blow-up, Dragons forget how to win, Jaeman needs to let grudge go
The first question asked of Cleary was about the Cowboys player being offside after Drinkwater kicked it forward to him. Think he just answered it honestly. Not sure that a poor decision is a 50/50 call?
Better to ask each coach why their defence is conceding 30 points. Plus for Penrith ,giving up a 12 point lead twice in 1 game?

Don’t think Penrith has played that well all year.
At least these previous 5 seasons have given some joy to supporters . With winning 4 more GF’s .
Cronulla would gladly sell all its best players over 5 years , for a couple of GF wins.

Been quite pleasantly surprised by Garners performances at Penrith, even at centre. He’s still not a centre & it leaves them with 1 less point of attack.
Whether they don’t see the list of young centres there as being up to first grade as yet, especially in defence is another thing?
However, they’ve trusted eventually in Talagi at 5/8. Seems to be improving every week .
Once the trying to make finals thing is over, I hope they give some backs a go. When looking to next season.
Five and a Kick: 'Make the f--king right call!' Payten's blow-up, Dragons forget how to win, Jaeman needs to let grudge go
To be fair. He mostly just says that the defence has been poor & too many handling errors.
Penrith aren’t good enough this season. Too many players gone, that they just can’t replace at this time ?
Better than in a few games for the last 2 games, but you can’t concede 30 points & expect to win.
Not sure how a player clearly puts his leg out & kicks the ball forward to his offside teammate & it’s fine ? Still, I guess the Cowboys had their complaints too .
Five and a Kick: 'Make the f--king right call!' Payten's blow-up, Dragons forget how to win, Jaeman needs to let grudge go
No offence intended, but you literally just said that that you thought the pass was alright. So not sure how Cleary could have missed anything, if the pass was fine? 👍
Five and a Kick: 'Make the f--king right call!' Payten's blow-up, Dragons forget how to win, Jaeman needs to let grudge go
Talk about exaggerating. The Tigers junior area is bigger than Penrith. The Storm have a whole state. Then draw from everywhere else. The Cowboys have a massive area. How big is the Dragons area & the South Coast ? The Warriors have a whole country.
Don’t think you actually thought about it, before just tossing anything out there. 👍
Queenslanders just don’t get Origin: A champion Maroons team from anywhere but the Sunshine State
Try to hold a football under your arm covered with a lubricant, while others are trying to hit it out continually. See how easy it is.
So what you’re saying is that you used to wet your hands ( with spit ) & then the ball. To hold onto it.
No wonder they wanted to wash it. 😂
