Negative comments about NRL refereeing performances draw fines for coaches. How about that being applied to a few other people in the game?
Seriously? Brisbane. Goodness me. Another great start to my tipping for the weekend.
A-League tipping: Round 27 - WSW eye second, can Victory spoil Auckland party?
Will be a great afternoon and good weather will have the Easter Show humming as well. It has been a masterclass in recruitment thus far, and all credit to the Dogs for righting the ship. Other clubs will manage the same in the future and I guess it will increasingly become the way in all modern professional sport. Amazing achievement really in a salary capped situation. Plenty of correct decisions made and very few wrong ones.
If Gould gets his paws on Galvin, the Bulldogs' cynical rebuild will be complete
Snipe: make a sly or petty verbal attack.
I wrote.
“I think a dud call from a referee or the bunker will decide this one. How sad the game had become in that regard.”
The point being made is that in very close matches, as I predict this one to be, it sadly and often comes down to one decision, sometimes a poor one. I feel that is a very sad thing for the game. We have already had a handful of matches where teams have been essentially robbed of competition points and crackdown after crackdown seems to be making the waters even murkier.
Not a snipe in my view. Just a prediction. Who knows, it might happen.

Stellar, meaning stars or star performer. Arzani is a star performing in my view and has been getting better and better all season.
Socceroos World Cup qualification on a knife edge as Popovic writes potential negative headlines with selections
He’s been going great, hence the selection.

Plenty of suits and expensive dresses being invited to an event within which they hardly know more than one or two drivers. Australian Open tennis and F1 have become events where those thinking of themselves as elite feel they must be there. Money, money, money and the real fans are forking out for the freebies of others.
Driver of the day award at the Australian GP was a shocker - it should have gone to incredible Hulkenberg
See Stirling Moss2’s opening sentence below. A HUGE difference.

Impossible to disagree with any of the above. The time zone meant less European votong and that explains the bizarre vote for Piastri. The Hamilton support is flat out weird, and has been happening for near 20 years, normally cheered on by Sky, and Norris, despite driving a good race in the fastest car, was not the driver of the day.
I’d probably have gone Kimi, Hulkenberg and then Albon with Yuki not too far behind. One thing is for sure, it was not Bearman or Lawson, who stank in the opening round. Keep that up and both will be gone in quick time. Valteri must hate watching them from the pits.

Who said this was the most important topic? I’m not sure anyone could or would argue that that is the case. However, what our national teams wear is certainly A topic worth discussion. Interesting to hear the thoughts of people through the day.
Socceroos and Matildas should respect tradition - why do FA want them in lemon-lime monstrosity?
Not sure, I was not alive in the 50’s so don’t have personal experience of what it was like.

Stay classy Australia. This has been brewing for years and to those who ‘Okay boomered” me, have a little think.

I live by Mr Caine’s words…..”Use the difficulty”, apt for the A-League really.
Ten teams still in the hunt: Why A-League parity makes it more interesting than anything in Europe
I was a bit stunned watching that one. I thought Brisbane might impress and make a statement against City. I think they play again so that will be worth a watch.

Ooops, sorry for the wrong score there. Typo I think.

A-League Tipping: Round 10 - A Big Blue to savour, and has Auckland's bubble burst?
I can’t believe the way the tipping data is falling for tonight’s match. Astonishing wave of support for one team.
A-League tipping: Round 8 - Auckland finally on the road, can Jets and Glory avoid implosion?
If I reflect on my coaching of a girls team back only seven years or so, I seriously think I may have crossed the verbal and style line many a time during the two seasons. I certainly would do things differently. Coaches who get it right and stay in the game for long periods, like yourself, deserve much credit. A lot harder than the supporter parents on the sideline think it is.

Yep and suggesting a few of them need to belt each other in the head is a bizarre message to be sending. Frankly, he sounded like a grumpy old man without the skills to communicate with the next generation of players.

Ha ha, “I think this is worth celebrating”. LOL. 😂

I fear you are right here.

Good point about the helicopter parent. Having previously been in private sector education for 20 years, the level to which I saw kids not held accountable and parents sweep in to clean up the mess created by their off-spring was considerable.
