You’ve got him covered Reyno.

WATCH: Vision emerges of Adam Reynolds and Pat Carrigan in heated dust-up

C’mon guys, he’s obviously washing that slippery sweat off the ball to clean it up for the restart. Clearly it’s to improve handling for the benefit of the game. But seriously, whoever came up with this boneheaded idea… this deserves an immediate crackdown.

Thanks Derek, pleased to hear he’s found some form.

Step 1: secure a quality head coach and recruitment manager. ASAP.

The 2027 Perth Bears full transfer shortlist: Let the wild player transfer speculation begin

Both 🙂

Five and a Kick: Latrell magic buries Broncos in Bunnies boilover, Des defies doubters as Titans escape Knights' clutches

Haas didn’t know what to do once he was in the clear, but he moves at good pace for such a big man and I reckon the next time we see him in the clear with just the fullback to beat he’ll have added a swerve and fend to his game. And well played Latrell, made three excellent tackles on Haas, Staggs and Mariner.

Col, I don’t think the Knights go near that contract for Brown without running it by Ponga to make sure he’s happy. If you watch their post game pressers the coach is forever pumping Ponga’s tyres as though keeping him happy the top priority. The problem is, they needed a 7 with an excellent kicking game and instead they’ve spent their dough on a very expensive 6 before realising Fletcher can own that position.

The commentators are blinder than bats, both StG support players were well covered by a defender and Gutho did exactly the right thing. It could well have been a penalty and even a sin bin for the second effort by the tackler when Gutho was trying to get up to play the ball. Disappointing kick from Cook to put the ball out over the dead ball line. The error wasn’t Gutho, it was Cook. Thank goodness we have expert commentators to provide these ridiculous descriptions… they should play the Benny Hill soundtrack while these guys are talking.

Warriors make Gutho pay full price for blowing golden try-scoring chance

And there he is, from dummy half to be backing up on the inside when the try is scored. They are a better team when he is on the field. Can he transition to 6 as Cody’s successor?

Souths fans give Jye Gray standing ovation coming on... and he soon proves to be a lucky charm

Credit where it is due… Mitchell also made two critical tackles, the first on Staggs and then a late try saver on Mariner. That’s a really good win and a huge confidence boost for Souths.

On report… move along.

WATCH: Big Tino placed on report in the first set after head collision with Knights forward

I love it. We used to play two codes as kids (league and soccer) and felt gyped if we didn’t get to play both games every weekend, and we also had a short lived mid-week school comp that i only remember lasting one season. Provided the NRL and Super Rugby can cooperate a bit with scheduling this sounds brilliant. Their mum’s will go nuts with all the laundry is my only concern.

Share Bears: V’landys floats bizarre player swap proposal with Force which contravenes the NRL’s own rules

Looks to me like Ryles has a clear idea of how he wants the team to play and the capabilities he wants, and he is ruthlessly clearing out everyone he doesn’t want to overhaul the roster and salary cap.

NRL News: Another Eels star told he's free to leave, Young set for Knights reunion, Lomax making late Origin audition

I’ve always assumed Des’ public persona to the media is a bit of a piss-take that he adopts to avoid giving anything away publicly. When he really wants to make a point he drops the “umms” and “aaahs” and speaks directly… as he surely must with his players and coaching staff. I expect the Titans to go better if they stick with Des long term and to go worse if they punt another coach. It makes me marvel all the more at the Dolphins, what a credible roster they established for thier formation years, and what a great pack of experienced, hardworking leaders they put together as a forward pack to establish standards and create the opportunity for their young halfback to develop. Then you look at the Titans and wonder why it is so difficult for them to build… anything.

'Lying down in order to milk a penalty': Lawyer slams NRL over players diving after Preston fails at judiciary

I want to see Australia’s best 11, all fully fit and in form play against the Protea’s best 11, all fully fit and in form. This is notionally the heavyweight championship of world cricket – it should be a 3 test series, and a single coin toss shouldn’t have so much influence… but hey, that’s cricket. If we’re not good enough to beat SA with Rabada playing then we won’t deserve the title.

‘It stinks’: Ex-skipper fuming as Proteas clear Rabada to make early return from drugs ban to face Aussies

Does a 19 team comp deliver a regular season draw where each team plays every other team once and has one bye, and maybe a 20 or 21 week regular season if there are split rounds during the SOO period? Is that where we are headed?

NRL barking (mad) up wrong tree with fanciful plan to boost player depth with Springboks and Pumas

I remember the first fella at the markets with a portable phone, it was a small suitcase powered by lead acid battery and everyone crowded around and thought it was amazing. It was substantially bigger than a football 🙂

NRL barking (mad) up wrong tree with fanciful plan to boost player depth with Springboks and Pumas

Good call Tim. I’ve seen many NRL players referred to as “stars” or even “superstars”, both expressions are now commonplace. This is the first time I’ve seen anyone in the real world referred to as “demonic”. I nearly spilled my summoning potion.

Could it have been Preston demanding to contest the charge? From this report Preston is the one who is adamant that his arm was trapped in Tino’s armpit and he couldn’t get it free. The judiciary retains its reputation – if it was easy to overturn a charge players/clubs would try more often.

Yep, shoulda-coulda… but unfortunately we found another way to lose another very winnable game. Tigers and StG don’t look finals bound to me.
