Did Nick Stiles once say he wanted the younger TT to focus on scrummaging and not scoring 50 meter tries rampaging down the field. Later he was coached by Brad Thorn. It’s a wonder TT is good as he is. He bulldozed the Reds’ pack and scored a try last night.

I’ve waited a long time for someone to pass the ball to Tupou near the line to score and, what do you know, it took a reserve hooker to finally get it right. Why would Tupou be used for cleaning out at the ruck for smaller less effective players when he can barge unassisted through any number of opposing players with ball in hand. McKellar is a dud or maybe it’s the halfback.

The Drua made more line breaks. The Reds attack was pedestrian and the Drua defence was fierce. Tim Ryan has got to stop defending next to the ruck; he doesn’t provide a sufficient obstacle and he gets in the way of the bigger bodies who may be the difference. Uru was very good.

Mark released Ryan on the way down. There was not modules he could do . It was a spectacular crash; technically a yellow only for me at the game.
