All Blacks Damian McKenzie and captain Luke Jacobson have both been named to make their injury return for the Chiefs when they host the Blues on Saturday (5.05pm AEDT). Join The Roar for live updates.

Jacobson has been missing since picking up a facial injury in the Round 2 victory over the Crusaders, while McKenzie missed last week’s trip to Fiji to face the Drua after succumbing to a knee injury in the final stages of the Round 3 victory over the Brumbies.

There are several changes in the forward pack, with Brodie McAlister, Naitoa Ah Kuoi, Simon Parker and Jahrome Brown all joining Jacobson as new faces in the run-on side.

Xavier Roe and Shaun Stevenson start this week after coming off the bench against the Drua, with McKenzie replacing Josh Jacomb in the No.10 jersey.

Off the bench Tonga-born forward Samipeni Finau will make his 50th appearance for the Chiefs.

Blues coach Vern Cotter has reacted to last week’s loss to the Brumbies by making eight personnel changes to his starting XV.

Three of the starting changes come in the backline where Xavi Taele gets a debut in the No.12 jersey. Harry Plummer and Sam Nock take over at 10 and nine with Beauden Barrett injured and Finlay Christie on the bench.

Ofa Tu’ungafasi will feature at tighthead side for the first time this season, while hooker Kurt Eklund and loosehead Jordan Lay are in for their first games of the season.

Lock Laghlan McWhannell and All Black Dalton Papali’i return to the starting side after injury.
