DeCrespigny…yep…there are a few players that don’t earn decent points for the hard work that they put in…

Selections from Fantasy-land: A fun and novel way of picking the Wallabies team to face the British and Irish Lions

Fresh lineout caller to replace another lineout caller. Both Frost and Swain are 80min players in Super Rugby…just feel that we’ll need fresh legs from about 50 min mark to maintain pace/physicality with the B&I Lions! Could consider bringing Williams off the bench as cover for 6 or Lock.

Don’t fight it…these are the selection policy rules of the Fantasy Rugby Selection Table!

No doubt injuries have curbed scoring ability…look at Bobby V!
Will revisit using Average Points at the end of Super Rugby.

What does the points “earned by players” have to do with Force supporters playing Fantasy Rugby? (Not a Force supporter FYI)

No change to Props, Locks, Loosies, 9, Flyhalf, Wings and Fullback…
– At Hooker, Asiata comes into 3rd place dropping the Fezz… 😢
– In the Centres, Hunter replaces Hamish in the Squad

“Why was Max Jorgensen allowed to throw the ball back from the fifth row? Why did Ben O’Keeffe disallow a Brumbies try after reviewing footage of the 2016 Super Rugby quarter-final? “

This had me in tears…thanks BP!

'Who could not be glad they were alive in that moment? Larkham, obviously, but he's not alive to begin with'

Also…not a winger…

The latest assault on Tom Lynagh was shocking. Super Rugby is offering him no protection or justice

No fixation…I have a view that Farrell will look to control the tempo of the game and be set piece heavy… so I’d prefer him in the team for the lineout mauls, especially defensively… where as you mentioned his 145kg tall frame allows you to almost/maybe/possibly defend a lineout maul with one less in…meaning you have one more out in the defensive line?

One may also argue that there is a fixation with TT which doesn’t match the “desire to play a high octane game”?

Predicted Lions and Wallabies lineups for first Test after surprising Six Nations shake-up

Lets get super adventurous with a 3-4-1 … 3 front rowers … 4 hybrids … and 1 scrummy that can also play 10/15 and wing… 😂

To be fair…I had similar thoughts of old uncle Slipper… but it looks like over the summer he has put on some muscle mass and has been scrummaging very well. And given that Kailea has not played only 1 game so far for the Tahs… Slip’s is the best bench Loosehead for us going into the Lions series.

Correct 😁

Agree… has impressed so far… Problem is that he will still find himself behind Isaac Kailea atm

As I said…Dark horses – but agree adding Smiddy to the dark horse list with Canham

LSL for Skelton, game tends to open up a bit more in the final 20 and LSL (to me) is a bit more mobile. Williams then for Frost. Seru though is simply one of those players (again IMO) that you use based on what is happening on the field on the day vs a pre-meditated way. He is just so good in both open and tight play and his link work with other players is immense. The most likely scenario would be that Harry plays 60-70 minutes with a high carry rate, comes off, Seru goes to 6, Bobby V moves to 8 and takes over captaincy.

Thanks Harry….
For mine, after this last weekends non-show by TT…and largely most of the season…I’m truly battling to see how they justify (other than his enormous salary) selecting him in the match day 23? I would rather have a steady tight head in the scrum but with an industrious work rate giving you 50-60 minutes of quality grind than a TT, who at the moment, is only there for impact in the scrum and will largely be neutralized by the opposing Lions Loosehead. I’ll keep him on the bench but feel that other No. 3’s in the competition like Tom Robertson are performing better.

Predicted Wallabies (1-15):
Angus Bell, Matt Faessler, Allan Alaalatoa, Nick Frost, Will Skelton, Rob Valetini, Fraser McReight, Harry Wilson (captain), Jake Gordon, Noah Lolesio, Max Jorgensen, Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii, Len Ikitau, Andrew Kellaway, Tom Wright.

Replacements (6/2 bench):
Brendon Paenga-Amosa, James Slipper, Taniela Tupou, Jeremy Williams, Lukhan Salakaia-Loto, Seru Uru, Tate McDermott, Tom Lynagh.

Dark horses for call up’s are – possibly push their case during their states midweek clashes against the Lions; Tom Robertson, Darcy Swain, Nick Champion de Crespigny, Ben Grant

“Kiss will also be hopeful that Tom Lynagh’s niggly injuries don’t repair.”
What?? Surely a typo here Christy?

Tahs big movers, Reds' best chance and all eyes on Larkham: Every Australian Super Rugby Pacific squad analysed

Interesting that their is no mention of the double banking in the Lineout maul that AB’s scored from… Lomax clearly blocked access to Ardie…

So tit for tat really….remove both….Springboks still win.

Boiling Boks, enraged All Black legends and Rassie fat shaming - just a normal week in rugby's ugliest rivalry

Not bad, couple comments;
– doubt that BPA will start…bench at best in my mind right now only having come into the team.
– Swop Blyth for Frost to start
– Kellaway starts and Jorgo off bench again (based on Joe’s no rush comments)
– I don’t see Feliuai on bench, Tom Lynagh as back up 10 option if fit to maintain halves pairing with Tate

Exclusive: Wallabies to have eighth captain in 15 Tests as shock new leader emerges

“Has anyone ever considered making Pietsch an inside centre? He runs great lines, tackles well and is industrious at the breakdown.”
– I’d actually like to see that…

“Ryan Smith is ignored for Angus Blyth.”
– Lets add Josh Canhams name to that list as well.

“So doesn’t that mean Tom Lynagh or Tane Edmed should assume the seat?”
– Honestly, the way Tane is playing atm in the NPC, I would imagine that he’s going to be in the frame for The Lions next year…hell possibly this years NH Spring Tour.

We are not mugs Joe - why are we bothering with Super Rugby if form isn't being rewarded?

100% agree Nick… I’ve made this exact comment before….now more than ever, WE as rugby public need to be more patient… Being a Springbok supporter (place of birth) I’m glad that you mentioned Rassie and the Springboks, because even Rassie only had a 50% win rate in his first year and gave 13 players test cap’s in his first test in charge! ((Yes he went on to win the WC in 2019 – but lets not do that sort of comparison)).
So we need to respect that the Wallabies are off to a good start, albeit against a struggling Wales and a T2 Georgia. So the responsible thing to do is look ahead at the rest of the upcoming TRC and Spring Tour, and I’m positive that the coaches will be thinking the same, they’ll say that, with 2 losses to Boks, we need to beat the Argentinians in the TRC and then look to beat Wales and Scotland in the Spring Tour…and assuming losses to AB’s, ENG and IRE… his will give Schmidt 7 wins in 13 games…53% win rate.
This to me would be acceptable especially based on our current ranking…No doubt they’ll put plans in place on how to beat the AAB’s, ENG and IRE…but we realistically know that there is a big gulf between the top 5 and the bottom 5 of the top 10.
I’m happy to give a quality coaching outfit the time they need to build the depth and structures required to compete.

Why Rassie's Springboks should serve as a friendly reminder for the Wallabies of the possibilities ahead

100% Paul… now more than ever, WE as rugby public need to be more patient… Even Rassie Erasmus only had a 50% win rate in his first year and gave 13 players test cap’s in his first test in charge! ((Yes he went on to win the WC in 2019 – but lets not do that sort of comparison))

Schmidt is 'open' to a foreign injection - but Wallabies pair aren't yet locked in for Boks clash as BPA nears return

Doubt Kerevi and Foley… maybe Koroibete for impact…

And ABSOLUTELY NEED Skelton… go watch last years games against NZ or SA…he is a massive body and put in big shifts!

Wallabies squad CONFIRMED: Beale's back and 13 new boys including Cale, ex-All Black in Schmidt's first selection

My worry with TT at this moment is that I do not believe that he could manage any more than 20 minutes (at test level)…so given our front row injury concerns…if AAA went down in the first say 10-20 minutes of a game…we will basically be playing with a mobile chicane limping around the field for best part of 40 min.

Wallabies squad CONFIRMED: Beale's back and 13 new boys including Cale, ex-All Black in Schmidt's first selection

Really went to Dylan due to his frame…we don’t really have size in our pack (aside from LSL)..so theory here is he can act almost as a flanker to come off the wing and assist with clean outs in the tram tracks.

Gordon…I really think he was unlucky last year…and he has played so much minutes this year and been under the pump due to the pack he has operated behind…my opinion is he won’t be as rattled when the pack comes under pressure.
