We need a crackdown !!! 😛

NRL Round 10 Talking Points: The best 15 minutes of 2025 ... and the Raider who'll be having 'nightmares for weeks'

Good call. There was a moment in the Storm v Raiders game where Weekes chipped over Paps’ head for the match winner

Weekes was full flight so Paps was no chance of getting back to cover, but as soon as Weekes kicked, Paps turned, put his head down and sprinted as hard as he could. Weekes beat him by miles, but for me it was a great example of someone not giving up on a play, even though the situation was absolutely hopeless

It got lost in how spectacular the try was but if you get a chance watch a replay of it and just how hard Papenhuyzen went…

You guys signed Chris Patolo from the Dogs. I’m not sure he’s a player who would win the middle leading the pack, but he would be good in a rotation

I always rated him at the Bulldogs, he could just never string more than 3-4 games together because of a horror run with injuries. Still only 23. Not sure if he’s available at the moment

There’s really no blinkers. Salmon scored, Starling dived on him after he’d scored. He wasn’t in any sort of position to prevent the try. It was unnecessary

I’m not calling for bins or suspensions or anything just noting that it was a grubby unnecessary play. It was, as you say, weak. If Mahoney had done it, we’d have a week of headlines…

There was footage of Crichton in the sheds at half time absolutely laying down the law

Hmmm… maybe, but I’ve never seen it happen before a shot at goal…

Great comment jimmmy – particularly this:

“People talk about game management from Ref’s and I have no doubt that sometimes that happens but mostly it’s team tactics”

Teams holding the ball tend not to give away penalties. They definitely don’t give away six agains. If teams sort out their discipline and start holding the ball, they put pressure on the other team who may start giving away penalties and six agains. It’s pretty simple and has always been the way. It’s rarely some sort of nefarious square up

Looks like you’ve survived another year… 😛

I love having a bet on the footy. Had a brilliant week last week, shocker this week

The idea that a player has “cost” you a bet is dumb beyond words. NRL fans love a blow up and finding someone to blame

Posting things like this is absolute gutter trash. I wonder if people are doing it to get noticed? When one of my kids were little they asked me why people do vandalism. My response was along the lines of “people want to make their mark on the world. If they can’t find a way to do it in a positive way, they do it negatively”

This feels like that…

NRL News: ‘Get out clause activated’ - Luai in another social media storm, Kenny puts spotlight on vile abuse from online trolls

Yeah for sure, my comment was a bit tongue in cheek. They’ve done remarkably well to maintain their success when you consider the players that have left. Looks like it’s finally caught up with them. It will be interesting to see how they respond this season as a team and as a club over the next few years

Penrith Cheetahs aren’t…

Penrith Cheetahs…

Panthers facing sanction after trainer SPRUNG using underhanded tactic

How come we’re not all up in arms…?

So then would they have been better off giving up fewer but higher priced players to minimise the disruption…?

I don’t disagree but Paul’s gotta do something to try and make it interesting. 27 weeks of Storm at 1 isn’t too much fun… 😛

I had the C on Paps… 1685 this week, with updates to come 😊

I think Latrell held the moment of the season title from 10PM Friday night until about 4.20PM Saturday afternoon when Crichton cut loose…

Yeah, that’s pretty much how I see it

I’ve never really liked that walking into the final tackle

This has clearly been going on for years !!! 😱 😱 😱

None. Only Bulldogs

Salmon had already scored and Starling dived into Salmons back

It wasn’t particularly violent, but it was unnecessary and grubby

NRL Round 11 Team Lists: Hunt hamstrung but Mam could be banned again, Dogs star out for two months, Raider charged

I know the Panthers have lost lots of players, but they still have the same salary cap to spend as every other team and a roster laden with stars… is it that much of an excuse?

NRL Power Rankings: Round 10 - The two most disappointing teams stumble again, Dogs never say die, beware the Roosters

I’ve been reluctant to bag DCE, but he’s just phoning it in at the moment

He’s been renowned as a player to bob up at the right time and place to v make a cover tackle, be in support, take an intercept, but at the moment he’s trotting around behind the play and having zero influence

With the emergence of Walker, Sandon Smith and now Savala, why would the Roosters be entertaining signing him?
