You make some good points Laurie. Macrae could be All-Australian again if he can keep it up. He could be the recruit of the year.
AFL crucial cogs, Round 4: Which players need to stand up for your team?
Agree with you BT; Pearman should start instead of Wood. I think Gomulka deserves to start instead of Amos and Glory are a better team with Ostler in the starting 11. Quintal will never get more game time at Sydney, so may have to move clubs.

Good point Waz. Do you think he deserves to be in the conversation for the Socceroos squad?
The Roar certainly are a better team with him in it.

I can’’t understand why Balard didn’t get one minute in the last two Socceroos games and Segecic has to be in the squad.

What about Archie Goodwin?

Leckie has a high football IQ. I’d rather have him as a squad player for the Socceroos as a leader, but playing limited minutes, perhaps in place of Duke or Boyle.

Good read. Would like to hear your thoughts on Gresham, as I think he has more to offer than he has been producing.

Thanks Grem, much appreciated.
You made some good comments; Atkinson is a handy utility, Sydney FC are missing Brattan’s leadership.

I did think May’s goal was outstanding, but I felt Pijnaker was the difference maker. Hopefully May can score more regularly.
Classy imports and super subs: A-League players who were the difference in Round 15
Too many players go overseas too soon or have bad luck with the wrong coach etc and end up coming back to the A-League or get lost to the system. On a side note I wonder why Burgess isn’t in the squad for Sydney FC and whether he’ll find another team in the A-League; it would be a shame to see his talent wasted.

Some interesting observations, El Futbolero.
Hopefully Bernardo stays injury free.
