Christy has been covering rugby since 2014 after falling in love with the game in 2010 during a year in England. He was employed at Fox Sports from 2015 and worked at News Corp across two stints. During his time at Fox Sports, he was a prolific newsbreaker and published regularly in The Australian. He also covered the Tokyo Olympics for News Corp. Not shy of setting the agenda, he wants to cover rugby from all angles: from Super Rugby and sevens to the international game.

It’s worked pretty well for the All Blacks though? Three World Cups and a couple more finals. Aus expanded to five teams, and it didn’t work. That’s in part because of the combinations and the winning experience that was lost because it was spread too thin.

That might be the case, but the Wallabies need to win in July/August.

Daugunu’s back soon. He’s a strong option for 13/wing. Physical, on-ball threat, and a finisher.

Good question. Previous Wallabies coaches said the players weren’t fit enough coming out of Super, and it’d take them a couple of weeks to get up to speed.

Yes, I’d certainly be having Kerevi in the squad, but it’d be a big ask to start him at 12. I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts one Test in the role though. Having JAS allows you to potentially play include Kerevi on the bench, too.

Correct. It occurred early in the second half against the Chiefs. They scored from it. It’s clever, because the Kiwis are getting away with it. But when it’s plainly obvious, the officials have a responsibility to act on it.

80 per cent of revenue comes from the Wallabies. If the Wallabies bomb, Super Rugby suffers. That’s why.

Yes, the England result swung momentum. It’s funny how one result can change the national mood. 7/13, three of which was against the Worst Welsh team in memory. Long way to go.
