If Darren Lehmann and his team did care to switch channels to the series between India and England they would've known what awaits them.…
Following the Indian Premier League many cricket fans might not have noticed a low key series which is being played in the West Indies…
Does the western world even know about the tensions between the 2 nations? let me brief you.
we have fought 4 full fledged wars with them, 1948,1865,1971 & 1999.We not only have faced but continually face hostility from their forces from across the LoC where hundreds of our soldiers have attained ‘Veergati’ or martyrdom. go read about the millions of times their ‘mujahideens’ or infiltrators have come across our borders and killed innocent people in the name of ‘jihad’. go and read about Pulwama,Uri,Pathankot. needless to say ObL was found in Pakistan of all places.
Its only fair that these Pakistanis should be probed in and out before issuing any visas. its a case of being safe rather than being sorry.
'How dare you?': India accused of being a 'pathetic disgrace' as England spinner's visa blocked
Jeepers, when will cricketers learn to keep their mouth shut on such issues and just concentrate on playing the game!!!
Khawaja's peace protest cut short by unexpected turn of events as Neser fires Heat to win over Scorchers
oh that aged quickly !!! 😂 😂 😂 😂

Brook?have to say i was surprised they left him out for Livingstone
UK View: 'A bridge too far' - Boycott, former greats tear into 'dysfunctional' Poms with World Cup defence all but dead
Oh yea, they’ll definitely hammer us down, hopefully it’ll be a dead rubber by then, they’re not winning against India, i hope they play 3 spinners add Ashwin somehow and nail them down !!!

Couldn’t agree more
Cummins was a terrible choice as an ODI skipper from the get go, Smith was THE perfect man for this job.It was just in March after BGT that we nailed India in their own backyard, and guess who was leading the pack.I wonder what are Pat’s credentials in ODI’s at the time when it was decided that it’d be him for the job.he’s already strangely mentioned that he’s still coming to terms with the format.he appears so well off with his decision making and that shows while bowling and also with the timid approach while batting.
As much as Cummins & Co.,the coaching staff also needs to be held accountable for this debacle, what has McDonald done planning wise for this event?i’d review him and Bailey once we crash out of this tournament prematurely. If SA gave us a shellacking, imagine the damage England or even Pakistan can inflict
Now looking ahead, What is the plan for the future?who are the players we’re looking to for the next big event which is the T20 world cup?sadly,i don’t see a plan..unless we have a England like reset in the white ball format, unfortunately this will continue
Heat on McDonald to show he can get bumbling Aussies firing again after insipid World Cup performances

Clarke slams 'Wallabies'-esque Aussies' World Cup shocker, poor Cummins tactics in savage radio reality check
yea,bit rich coming from a country whose cricket board chief is chosen by the sitting PM.
when Imran Khan was in power he chose his puppet in Ramiz Raja, when he was ousted Shehbaz Sharif chose his joker aka a journalist Najam Sethi, now Zaka Ashraf, this list is non exhaustive !!!
wait for more antics once the tournament draws closer
Pakistan makes call on India travel for World Cup: 'Sports should not be mixed with politics'
Handscomb is horrible against seam/pace bowling, his feet get into a tangle sometimes plus he cannot rotate the strike at will.Head was fine in the sub-continent as an opener but cannot open with the highly skilled English pace attack coupled with the dukes
Australia may have already lost Ashes if they stick with Warner as Renshaw, Harris hit tons to turn up heat on veteran
just a tad, yea 😛 😛
'Plans certainly weren't wrong': Batting coach defends Aussies as sweeping giant Hayden offers to lend a hand
we can’t play decent seam/swing, nor can we play on turning tracks, so are we only going to score big on at home?We got beaten there too by India 2 summers ago.there’s no shame to learn from your opposition,India were abysmal away from home for a long time but they’ve worked on it,England were terrible just 12 months ago, but now they seem to be the one to beat.when will we learn? when will we accept that we’re poor when the ball does things, till we accept that and work judiciously on our flaws, these floggings will be a norm on away tours.
'Plans certainly weren't wrong': Batting coach defends Aussies as sweeping giant Hayden offers to lend a hand
This excuse of not taking T20 seriously is hurting Aus’s chances.problem is the BBL is not producing quality T20 batting talent.secondly,Langer and his men don’t have a clue in playing quality spin. i don’t want to ramble on about who should’ve been on these 2 tours, but i definitely know the likes of Henriques,Carey,Wade shouldn’t even be near the national T20 squad. Aus will tour India,SL & Pak early next year.
These 2 (WI+BD) tours have not only hurt the Aussies’ Limited over reputation, but also goes to show a timid approach against anything that spins or the lack of it.
All out 62: How can Langer survive shambolic, worst ever T20 debacle?
Yea i think its time we ease up on Tim.he picked up our team when it was in absolute tatters post Cape Town and from there to go ahead and achieve something which Ponting couldn’t is no mean feat.not to forget his dogged batting against Pakistan where he drew the game against the odds was quite commendable.haters would go ahead and say we should’ve won the Ashes 3-1 but that was once in a gen innings by Stokes.
If we’re on commentators, i’d recommend watching the Indians play.bar Harsha Bhogle that team of broadcasters have some pretty below average comms.
Holding,Lloyd,Nicholas,Harsha,Warne (to an extent) are very good in my opinion.
Brayshaw & VVS Laxman are in the same category i feel.
Ease up on Tim Paine: My thoughts from the first Test
Yeah agree with all of you here.it is going to be a painful couple of months. We haven’t learnt at all from the drubbings in SL and UAE.the techniques just aren’t suited for slow bowling.I am a big fan of Smith the batsman but as a skipper he is just not there is he?his tactics on that 5th morning at the ‘Gabba were questioned by all and sundry. 4 zip get ridiculed and face the wrath again
We are set to get pasted in India. Here’s why
Yeah and we saw that in the recent T20 world cup didn’t we. We had no answer to the likes of Santner. even Jadeja was allowed to settle in and wasn’t taken for runs.Make no mistake they are good bowlers but I thought we let them settle in their rhythm rather than a planned attack.
Australia's spin woes continue
Yes Craig, i expect our spinners to perform significantly better too.I am specially interested in how Zampa performs specially after the IPL he has had. it won’t be right to judge him based on one IPL season, but if he plays the Indians will come hard at him and he has to counter that. I am more concerned by the back foot play of our batsmen.many of them play the ball after it spins when it gets a touch difficult with so many revs on it. I’d rather get to the pitch of it or smother it rather than wait for it to turn.Boof said once that after the Pakistan series that they got beaten by the lack of turn and i agree.they played for extravagant spin when they were bowling straight and at the stumps.we missed, they hit.
The performance against SA the other day still hasn’t convinced me that they are on the right path but i hope they make amends before they board that plane to India.
Australia's spin woes continue
Yup well said Lee.they are going to pack their side with left arm spinners who bowl wicket to wicket and we will thrust out our pads and get either LBW or bowled playing back to deliveries we should’ve played forward to.That’s barring Smith btw.
Pattinson's excess pace puts him in Test contention
Sorry, but i thought Boyce was in the squad for his bowling prowess.Giving him one over on a pitch where slow bowling was proving to be effective was a blunder. Reece Topley with his variations in pace (bolwing at the late 70’s MPH) proved to be effective. If he is in the squad, give him a go for gods sake.I completely disagree with Lehmann’s all pace strategy.it will work in England(or i hope so it does),but won’t on the dust bowls of Bangladesh or even India where the World T20 is to be played next.
Steve Smith's swashbuckling 90 not enough as England win Twenty20
When the news broke out late last year that Ajmal was called for flexing his arm a bit too much, i thought the aussies would roll over Pakistan.but clearly that didn’t happen. Babar & the very impressive leggie Yasir Shah showed how lackluster we are against spinners who are of some calibre.
Unless there’s some miracle of sorts in the coming 6 weeks or so, i reckon we’d struggle against all of their tweakers.
So in a nutshell we struggle against in seaming conditions,we struggle in spinning conditions. are there conditions at all where we revel?
Test tour of Bangladesh will challenge Australia
When you work towards a cause, you will work with blokes you don’t really like or get along with at all,but you got to stick around for that cause, here which was getting Australia to the pinnacle;which pup did briefly in ODI cricket. I think it all went south when we lost in India in 2013.it was a horrible performance and one could see they were not quite gelling together.then there was ‘Arthur’,coupled with homeworkgate.
Pup for me will always be the no nonsense hard talking true aussie. his handling of the Hughes’ tragedy is there for all to see.and those people who have bagged him are talking truck load of rubbish.yes he wasn’t in top form for the past 6-8 months, but that doesn’t make him a bad player.we only have to go back as far as Capetown in March last year.he was bruised and battered by a on song Morne Morkel but he never quit. that’s the pup i know.
I wont really bother about what Buchanan has said.good old johnny was never a fit in that dressing room.as Warne rightly said, his 18 year old daughter would’ve coached that team,it was that bloody good.
I wish him all the best for his future endeavors
Clarke's good, bad and ugly legacy
Agar..again…really?SoK was the pick of the bowlers for mine recently in India. He’s a much better bowler & batsman than Agar. The problem with CA which was evident during the Ashes is, they themselves don’t seem to be sure of what would be a potent XI.I think we still have a world class ODI team, but the test team is a shambles. How they got Marsh in that team ahead of his younger brother is a joke to me.If i were the selector, i’d make sure Shaun doesn’t don the baggy green ever again.
Burns, Pattinson and Agar to push Test cases in ODIs
i don’t think Fawad will be an automatic selection. He is not as exceptional as the media is terming him to be..He’s at the most pedestrian.I saw his bowling figures in Zimbabwe and South Africa, where he was not even bowling to top blokes in either side as such.He was consistently bowling short (which is OK for a leggie i suppose),but he failed to take wickets up top, which is why i think Lyon is a much better option. He’s ok for one dayers i guess where he’ll get some tap but will be effective in India where dryer conditions will mean,he gets grip off the surface.SOK would have been a much much better option, and i ‘m of a very strong opinion that he should captain the ODI side.relieve pup of those duties.
Ahmed set for international debut
I wouldn’t leave Watson out.having said that,i wouldn’t bank on his performance in the Pyjama cricket league either.he either needs to bat lower so as to negate any load on his already glass like body or give up batting altogether and stay in the side as a bowler capable of getting 30 (max).
I also think Clarke needs some senior pro now that Mr.Cricket isn’t around. If Watson can mend his ways of apparently finding an ‘I’ in the team. he can be the go to man pup wants.
All said and done,i think Watto is crucial to our chances (if there are any) to retain the coveted urn.or else we should just be if we’re able to draw a test if not win it
Bowling crucial for Watson's Test chances
I thought they aired international cricket pretty well.If ten is wowing to air every bit of the season (domestic, intl,BBL),this is indeed good news to viewers like me who don’t want that Foxtel crap. Its expensive its useless and makes no sense whatsoever.as far as the commentary team goes, they should try and buy them out too see how that goes.
Channel Ten fires $500m bid for cricket rights
If they can allow people like Inzamam, Aamir Sohail,Murali,Suraj Randiv and many morea to bowl, surely Kuhnemann’s isn’t that obv
Yes, Kuhnemann’s got a suspect action but he’s not a chucker - cricket needs to rethink stigma over throwing claims
