Too much emphasis is put on the head coach these days. There is way more to it now than say 30+ years ago when there was just a coach and assistant. Take a look at Clarko, in his first few years at hawthorn compared to now. Look at the guys he had around him in the box. You need everyone on the same page, on and off field. Freo doesn’t seem to be there at the moment.

I don’t think he ever really recovered from the early knee issues. Had so much potential.

Not hoping at all. It’s sad to see his career limping quite literally to the end. He didn’t just do a hammy. It’s going to have been 2 months for said hammy. Still another 5 weeks away. He’s used his body as a battering ram his whole career. That takes a toll.

Fyfe needs to be added. Just like Stephen Hill petered out, they think he’s coming back but his body isn’t up to it and has limited impact when he’s in now.

Petracca has nothing to be embarrassed about. If I was a Dees fan, I’d much rather him be upset about a loss than nonchalantly laughing and chatting with other players. People want these guys to not be robots then make a big deal when he shows emotion.
