The way the saints just continually bombed the ball in deep hoping for a big mark or sharked goal was exactly how my team the Dees have played the last few years. blues were able to clear eventually even if there were a few scrimmags and ball ups. I know it’s different viewing on tv but every time they just bombed it in I could see saints players free on the forward line . My team is trying to get out of that habit.

Footy Fix: The Blues looked set to go full Carlton again. This is how they didn't

yea mate I was thinking exactly the same thing. if you repeat an action/ behaviour a few times you can easily argue it’s part of your normal behaviour. bit like Wayne Carey over the years

AFL News: Rioli makes Showdown call as 'comical' aspect of threat alleged, Dillon sends 'unprofessional' reminder to clubs

that’s meant to be training fun not trading ha

The Demons have botched their list planning - and with or without Oliver, the future looks bleak

I get the comments but the Dee’s always have been an easy hit. I really think the blitz for 12 minutes in the 2021 GF swayed people to the dynasty concept. I am happy with our draft efforts . windsor Tholstrup Lindsay and Langford . ok with that. we haven’t done as well with our experienced trade ins . when you look at prior to 2021 we recruited May/Lever/ Langdon/Hibberd/Ben Brown. all key players in our flag. no one in that calibre since . has been some ugly stuff at the administration level and the negative aura of Glenn Bartlett hanging over the club was oppressive . I don’t believe our period as a premiership chance is over . one of my major concerns has been the drop down of performance of Clayton and Christian however I will make these points bout our demographic. lever/ Petracca/ Langdon/Salem/Fritsch around 29. Maxie 34/ May 33.Viney31. Tom Mac 31. Kossie/Rivers/Petty/chandler/Spargo around
23/24. van Rooyen/Turner/Mcvee/ around 21. Windsor Tholstrup Lindsay Langford 19. I am ok with that group of players . I think one of the things that the Dee’s lost over the last few years was some of our best clubmen. the guys that make trading fun and are great communicators and supporters for their teammates. Angus Brayshaw/ hibbert and Alex Neale Bullen were vital to the club’s DNA I am hopeful that our older players can hit the heights some of the other older dudes are at the moment. Pendlebury/sidebottom/Zorko/Dangerfield Etc.

you have no idea don, stick to watching you purple people. kossie is better than Bolton and Warner. lazy and unreliable crap. he plays in an AFL graveyard on the forward line. watch him in the centre . . your bias and continual racing of supposed Freo superstars that no one else seems to recognise is absurd. you live in a false la la land where Freo have won numerous premierships and are the greatest team in the history of the AFL .
luckily most people on this site have a stronger grasp on reality

Footy Fix: How Goodwin released the shackles to save the Dees' season - and maybe himself too

Freo are keen to get kossie and I totally understand why. Bolton you have and Chad Warner you are interested in are both brilliant players . where kossie is better than these dudes is his defensive skills are so much better he chases, he harrases players, creates turnovers. at 23 he is coming into a very good period. yes does a couple of silly things that has caused suspensions however that’s not an overriding part of his play. I really hope he stays at the dees

Footy Fix: How Goodwin released the shackles to save the Dees' season - and maybe himself too

continually blaming umpires for freos losses. Dee’s were in front 95% of the game and were running on last quarter. kicked 2 goals and were within 6 points with over 7 minutes to go. they lost by 10 points. just Not good enough Don

Six Points: Meet footy's No.1 coach (again), and how to fix the farcical 15m kick crackdown

also for Don. we had Windsor 26 games/ Howe 20 games/ Tholstrup 12 games/ Langford 4 games/ Lindsay 4 games / fullarton 1 game . that’s 6 massively inexperienced players out of 22. pretty good effort to win that game

Footy Fix: How Goodwin released the shackles to save the Dees' season - and maybe himself too

what a load of crock . whenever Freo lose Don it’s the umpires umpires. you count the decisions that go against your team and alter the result. oh happy happy land for you. I went to the game to support my struggling team and got to sing our team song. funny you know we won by 10 points when I was at the MCG. I just rewatched the game on kayo. funny thing we won by 10 points again . I will have to check kayo and see if the dockers celebrated their win in the rooms . I may be living in a different dimension to you Don where in my world the Demons won but in your world the Dockers won . We definitely live in interesting times . cheers

Footy Fix: How Goodwin released the shackles to save the Dees' season - and maybe himself too

7 minutes 16 secs left and dockers kicked last 2 goals and are behind by only 6 points. bolton tries a selfish shot. bang stuffed up .
game results Dee’s win by 10 points after being in front for 95% of the game. ok dockers have smashed Dee’s last few seasons and we have had a terrible start to this year zip 5. That was an excellent win

Footy Fix: How Goodwin released the shackles to save the Dees' season - and maybe himself too

wow what a whinger you are don. The Dee’s led for virtually the whole match. dockers kept close but you know what. THEY weren’t good enough. you got to within 6 points with 3 minutes to go. running on. what happened . simply just today you weren’t good enough so just accept that . I know you won’t. I know Freo wouldn’t have lost a game over the past 5 years but for the umpires. stevics children are all punishing you . damm hey

Footy Fix: How Goodwin released the shackles to save the Dees' season - and maybe himself too

so many times the Dee’s caught Freo players holding the ball and no decision paid

Footy Fix: How Goodwin released the shackles to save the Dees' season - and maybe himself too

you just can’t praise a great game hey Don. only if your team do it . such whining

Footy Fix: How Goodwin released the shackles to save the Dees' season - and maybe himself too

I loathe Collingwood but gee they play attractive football and nick Daicos, a superstar Amazing to watch

Footy Fix: Fly's Pies' tactical masterpiece gives Fagan's Lions the ultimate reality check

Doc as a 50 year plus demon supporter just realise that people love their clubs, players coaches admin etc move on but we love our clubs
I didn’t like what was happening at the Dees sometimes but I also haven’t enjoyed hawks and Maggie’s and blues heading strategically down the bottom for draft picks. Blues cheating on player payments.
no supporter has control over the poor happenings at their club so I think your offensive comments about the Dees whether factual or not do a disservice to you and Demon supporters
cheers

The Dees have been cooked since last year. Here's what they need to do next

Dees will okay well against cats. win mmm. hope so but punters picking a massive cats win will be wrong. I hope

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Round 4: Is this the unlikeliest match of the week ever?

it’s a brutal but pretty apt commentary on the Dee’s at the Moment. we gave many players out of form/ touch and only more games this year will tell if time has caught up with some of the players. We have been a very competitive team over the past 5 years capable of beating any team ha probably other than freo. As a demon long time supporter of over 50 years I am obviously biased. I am not convinced our year is totally over nor our good prospects over
we got smashed by Kangas last quarter and the suns did a number on us. in that match we handoassed to them,,kicked scrubbers to our own players, didn’t hold tackles, poor shots at goal etc etc. we can play better and when we do some wins will come. I think it’s too early to totally write us off. we are sitting with blues and Freo winless and both those teams will do a lot better soon. cheers

Footy Fix: A rabble defensively, bullied in midfield and impotent in attack - the Demons are officially broken

looking forward to Giants playing Dees next week. they will start favourite however I reckon we will run them close

Footy Fix: How the Giants did a Collingwood to Collingwood - and made the Pies look old and slow

fair comment tho what is always interesting is how good new blood is. if Lindsay and Langford end up genuine stars as opposed to ok players there’s a world of difference in the Dee’s future. The players doing well under 25. kossie/ Bowie/ Rivers/ Van Rooyen/ mcvee/ Howes/ Windsor/ Petty/ Turner. there’s been smart recruitment coz of those players covering defense/ midfield and forwards. having a blend of young/ middle and senior age players is pretty good player management I reckon. also if players keep in good condition 33/34 is still possible

Premiers to fall, Goodwin gone by July: 19 crazy, fearless predictions for AFL season 2025

you have got it wrong with Dee’s players over 30 falling off a cliff I reckon
players manage their bodies much better these days
Gawn/ May/ Tmac/ Melksham/Viney
that’s it. heeps of good players 26-27. lever Petracca/ Oliver/ Salem/ Petty/Langdon/ Fritsch
younger players rivers/ kossie/ Chandler/ Spargo/ sparrow/ van Rooyen/ turner/Windsor/Mcvee
new recruits this year . it’s actually a great demographic

Premiers to fall, Goodwin gone by July: 19 crazy, fearless predictions for AFL season 2025

to old, to slow

The hurt of last season's AFL flop is driving the Magpies for redemption in 2025

Demons to win the flag and Goodwin celebrates his 4th flag – 2 as a player and now 2 as a coach. kossie Pickett wins norm Smith medal and states categorically he will return back west when his career is over
why leave a champion club to go and play in club over there

Premiers to fall, Goodwin gone by July: 19 crazy, fearless predictions for AFL season 2025

I am pretty confident Dees still have a good 7-8 years ahead. we recruit well and have a good demographic age of players. Spargo has been sorely missed and his impact in games is underestimated by many people. Spargo kossie and Neale Bullen were our 3 massive defensive players with great run who also kicked goals
I believe truck and clarry will get back to their best and will be part of a great period for us
we have a surprising amount of young players in our team that stands us in good stead
I am biased of course however I see us as close to certain for too 8 and a great chance to be top 4

Demons Pressure Gauge: The whole Melbourne club is under the pump, but one star player has maxed out the scale

won’t make the 8

Why Dockers can live up to 'Flagmantle' moniker in 2025... for real this time

you heard it first from me. very likely Dees top 4 . Almost certain top 8
our 2 new star recruits Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver will set the AFL alight. mew players will be positively introduced. incremental improvement from van Rooyen and Daniel turner. normal 40-50 goals from Fritsch. Caleb Windsor to star as will kossie Pickett. Strong backline still tho aging a bit. lever may tmac petty Salem mcvee
midfield of Gawn Viney Petracca Oliver Rivers sparrow. write us off, discount us but with an absolute crap year last year we weren’t far off finals. Go Dees ????????????????

Early AFL finals predictions: Premiers on top, grand finalists drop and Blues sneak in
