I think Fremantle are in the perilous position of being on the edge of the eight. They have a cultural problem and a development problem. The reason I say that is because of the exodus of players like Jessie Hogan and Lachie Schultz. They have not effectively replaced them. If Freo had fortitude they’d throw their hat in for Oscar Allan and Liam Ryan. If they want something a little bit cheaper then Alec Waterman (provided he has remained fit out of footy).

I disagree the fact that north couldn’t get over the line against an Essendon side that has been utterly pulverised by injury says more about them. They have been stuck in the cellar for half a decade at this point. They’ve shown absolutely no improvement, and a wilful ignorance of appropriate draft strategy picking best available all the time rather than what they actually need.

The bulldogs are actually very viable fiscally speaking. During the Rona it was the pies, the hawks, west coast, and Richmond were able to ride it out without much assistance from the afl but the bulldogs and bombers we’re very close behind them

So far norf haven’t conceded more than 200 points like Melbourne did to Geelong a decade ago. Don’t get me wrong they’re in dire straits and the decision to move Ben McKay and trade their future first for an end of first round selection last year was nonsensical at best. Norf are bereft of hope and I have more hope for the eagles than I do Norf
