AFL and clubs digging a big hole with double standards on behaviour which won’t help the cause. The what’s said on the field BS belongs to last century. Threats of physical harm on or off the field are totally unacceptable no matter who it comes from.

That looks pretty close to the mark. Still not sure about Gold Coast but they should never have been rated above 7 based on who they have and have not defeated yet.

Too much guessing from umpires. If they don’t see it then the interpretation has to be that it hasn’t happened. No way that ball was touched and no way the umpire could have seen it as touched. Anyways sh.te happens. The best team over four quarters always wins in the end.

Concerns are likely but I don’t believe in mid season sackings. Mostly pointless unless the wheels have totally fallen off and clubs find themselves unexpectedly at the bottom of the ladder. Blues have been there a few times.

Too many clubs waiting for their coach to pull off a Hardwick. Has it happened more than once ? If they can’t get their team at least regularly into the finals in 5 years when is it likely to happen ?

So far they’ve played teams that collectively have won 11 out of 42 matches. Can’t be rated any higher than mid table on that record. Particularly losing to one of them very recently that is 2 from 7 with a percentage of 67.

Gold Coast have had the easiest of fixtures and their position is inflated both on the real ladder and in these rankings. Many losses to come.

Tigers were awesome in 1980 though. Absolutely smashed us in the Qualifying Final and I was there for that one as well. Witnessed the Percy and Jewell punch up. Percy couldn’t coach though so yeah. Hungry kicked seven goals I think and the Flea was on fire. We couldn’t recover and were smashed by the Pies the following week. Better coach in 82 though and of course the addition of Hunter, Buzz, and Woof Perovic and hitting form at the right time.
