With all the Blues challenges this year it has been pretty easy to overlook the inclusion of players like Lord (rookie with 10 games mainly as the sub) White (Rookie with 6 games), Carroll (rookie with 4 games) and Binns (4 games) that are all developing nicely

Six Points: The AFL let everyone down in the Willie Rioli saga - especially Willie Rioli

Catch the scores?

That will be the plan – will they be able to is the question

The Blues have been a pretty decent pressure side all year apart from last week, number 1 for tackles, number 1 for contested possession, number 2 for tackles inside 50, number 6 for 1%ers number 3 for intercepts & number 3 for clearances.
Last week the Blues were off but the Crows did a great job of not allowing the contest to occur. Used the ball brilliantly and took a lot of marks which simple denied the Blues the opportunity to tackle and harass.

FWIW – last week the crows went at over 80% DE (better than the best average in the league) which basically kept the ball out of a contest all day – the Saints average 71.5% 15th in the league

The point isn’t if the Pies are right for trying something different – but how often will they have to do it.

Funny to think that it is possible Carlton could be in the 8 after this week!!

Agree it isn’t arrogance but it does indicate an issue the Pies could have as the season goes on with such an old list and an even competition

The Saints do have a great record against us but most of those wins have been at Marvel and more importantly most of them have been when I have been attending the game – not going to be there this week to we are a massive chance. 😂

AFL Tipping: The Roar's expert tips and predictions, Round 9 - It's Showdown time in the toughest tipster week of the year

So far this year Carlton have;
averaged 67 tackles a game, on the weekend they laid 46 and still won the tackle count by 10.
averaged 142 contested possessions a game – last week we had just 112 (losing by 17)
averaged 41 clearances a game, last week we had just 30 (losing by 8)
The league best DE per game is 75.4% (the Crows have been averaging 73.1%) last week the Crows averaged 80% DE

Basically we got beaten at the contest & clearance and then the Crows were exceptional with their ball use which prevented us getting our game going (the crows had 255 uncontested possession while the league best average is 238 while also taking 120 marks while the league best average is 102).

I reckon he just sees what the boys on fox make of various incidents (Dangerfield hitting Impey was a bit of a laugh while Cerra “could be in trouble” for pushing Bowes) and goes from there

'Always likely to land on the face': Hinge fails to beat striking charge at tribunal but Cerra cleared for only 'intending to push'

Feel for Tauru – put a decent block on, got unlucky to concuss his opponent and then ends up with 6 weeks which is ridiculously long.

The VFL teams seem to have 27 byes a year – I think the Carlton VFL team had 2 Byes in the first 4 weeks of the AFL season.

I think the must not be able to find anyone else to be the MRO – can’t explain how Christian stays in the job otherwise.

Also how does Bailey Smith get “misconduct” for swinging the ball into Impey’s face and Cerra gets striking for this?

I hope there is better footage than what was shown on the AFL website for suspending Carre – can’t see anything on that

I must say I am getting a bit of a chuckle out of Blues supporters calling for Dangerfield to be suspended for breaking Silvagni’s hand but if you put it into the MRO matrix it would probably get a week (careless, low contact, high impact) 😂 😂

Six Points: Roo's ridiculous suspension demands MRO overhaul, and are the Blues ... back?

I would be happy with my daughter being able to watch a game without being a nervous wreck that we will lose no matter how big our lead is 😂

But I agree a premiership is the only thing we should settle for from this group but while we are leading the league in tackles, tackles inside 50, contested possession and number 2 for clearances I think we can push into the top 4 this year

Six Points: Roo's ridiculous suspension demands MRO overhaul, and are the Blues ... back?

They definitely self sabotaged (TDK’s kick out from the goal square straight to the Cats after a brilliant defensive effort from O Hollands) but I don’t think their structure is that bad – they are equal second in the league for intercepts and their biggest score against is 83 points.

When you consider Silvagni and O Hollands have barely played in defence before this year, while Haynes is new to the club and Carroll has played just a few games of AFL that is a pretty decent effort – hopefully the more they play together the better the system & structure gets.

Six Points: Roo's ridiculous suspension demands MRO overhaul, and are the Blues ... back?

Not sure you can say the Blues are back when they are substantially different to the side that played round 1.

Durdin, White and E Hollands have all come in and significantly change the forward and midfield dynamic. Throw inMcKay and Curnow being paired for the first time (not counting the 10 minutes against the Eagles) and that is a substantial change.

Down the other end not only has Matt Carroll come in and been more than handy the fact that now Haynes and Silvagni have played 7 games down back with Weitering and co means they are starting to find a rythym (I would have had Haynes BOG).

I would also say that Richmond aside the Blues 3 other losses have come against top of the ladder Pies, 4th placed Hawks and a pretty decent Bulldogs side.

But all that aside that bad loss to the Tigers will mean there is little room for error in the next 6weeks or so.

Someone very good at creating an alternate reality and then gaslighting the world in an attempt to make them think her reality is real and theirs is false.

Her Boss is apparently 6’3″ and 102kg.
