I think the Luai things means plenty. He went there ‘knowing his worth’, wears the #7 and lets a 19yo kid do his work. This is his team and I haven’t seen a half less involved.

That’s not cool. Spraying the ball with water before they kick off. The trainer should be rissoled

I think we were all close to the bone in 2017/19. NSW was 99% declared in drought as well. Qld built a $1b desalination plant that never got turned on.
Queenslanders just don’t get Origin: A champion Maroons team from anywhere but the Sunshine State
No but I get it if the 4 syllables got away from you. Usually we don’t waste words talking to each other but I’ll happily extrapolate… damn, there I go again, use plenty of small words for you guys.

We don’t hold players to ransom mate. He had a better chance to play in White than Maroon. Good luck to him.

“Participation” maybe. Origin is a shield.

Because no Qlders thinks that much about or of NSW. It wouldn’t take 15 words when 2 covers most. You know which 2. 😊

NSW ask people to play, Qld process applications.

Right in the middle of it.

Everyone makes poor life choices when they are young. They had a taste, got pumped and pulled the pin at the peak of their powers with a 30% and 40% win rate respectively.

Spotting a Qlder clues
– 20 degrees temp and they’re in a flanno.
– Roll 5 words in one and finish with ‘eh’. Expecting an answer.
– 2 pair thongs. Favourites and wedding.
– 2 boats, Outside and tinny. (More NQ thing)
– Shakes their head (sometimes fist) at a yellow number plate.
– 3 favourite memories: first car, first dog and Joey Johns getting knocked TF out.

It is hard to find good staff. Although I read TWAS list and it might be worth sacking your admin for 30years of errors. Qld have good accountants, we’ve stretched the guideline occasionally.

I’ve read Matto was on the block originally but after a meeting Ryles he chose to keep him. I would love to have heard that pitch. Turns out he pleads better than he trains.
NRL News: Another Eels star told he's free to leave, Young set for Knights reunion, Lomax making late Origin audition
Star junior. Hard task to look good in his current team. Even Moses is looking average behind the current pack.

Yeah, sucks to be a N.S. Welshman. Imagine having so many players just refuse to play for the state they were born. Haumole Olakau’atu waves a big maroon flag on social media – give that man a blues jumper. Keary actively protested and NSW still forced him to play – suits up son. Jamie Lyon, Timana Tahu couldn’t be persuaded.
Never fear, the international community doesn’t know any better: James Tamou, a proud Kiwi rep in 2011, by 2012 as blue as any Kiwi to wear the jumper. Aquila Uate, Fiji to blue and isn’t the surname McManus native to the Irish region of Wagga? El Masri? I could keep going but I don’t want to distract from the point that only Qld has loose borders. 😊

I think Smith looks very much like the old school hooker. Still a lot to learn but he’s a tenacious little buggar. I try not to compare too many to Cam Smith, Mozer might be the closest by the way he controls the rucks and brings runner onto the ball.
Matterson, at $300k and an attitude shift would be value but I doubt he would settle for either. Was Madge at Wests when he was?
Agree about Young. Some teams are just a better fit. If no one can defend well he is less likely to stand out. 😂
Moses may have ‘Brooks’ himself. Staying on a sinking ship and the pressure is already telling. I would be very happy to see him in the NSW team. They were gifted a half of footy last night and put one try on. He personally missed 2 tackles that lead to tries.

There will be another $1m for Galvin next season. Iongi and Smith are not marquee yet but both have a bit of potential. There’s a lot of Mahoney in Smith.

I reckon Ryles is trying to Bellamy his team. Bring up a few ‘value’ forwards to play above themselves and spend him money on the spine. He has a core of decent forwards but not enough NRL experience or mental toughness. Everyone knows Paulo’s game so he is largely ineffective these days.

My immediate thought is that Brisbane could use him in the backrow/bench if he came at a decent price. As you say, at his best he is a real asset. Hopefully he wakes up that his career is on a knifes edge. Although Catalans is probably calling.

Suaali’i was only a prodigy by being better than the other kids. He was always a league kid. Identified by, placed there and paid for by South Sydney. He was always going to play league afterwards. Paying a rookie 3x his value still doesn’t make him a rugby player.
Share Bears: V’landys floats bizarre player swap proposal with Force which contravenes the NRL’s own rules
I would put money on the notion the forwards are confused. Seibold makes things really complicated. Running plays like an NFL team but without the breaks in play.
