There’s no fear of anything. The Roar uses the spelling communicated from RA, as do the Herald and AAP.

'We saw Neymar': Skelton sent off as coach rages over rival's dive in 'dark day for rugby'

That’s because it is deliberate, it comes from Rugby Australia.

Good comment, but are you really implying that there’s zero meritorious criticism of the Matildas? A year out from a home Asian Cup and the team is a shambles, that’s newsworthy and deserves to be reported on.

Sheargold comments not isolated - so why is sexism still rampant in sports media?

How does this apply in Australia? Tara has always been excellent and Grace Gill is learning the ropes.

Also valid, and I tend to agree. But it’s also not the first page in Novak’s story.

'Have some respect': Crowd blasted as Djokovic booed off in 'absolutely ludicrous' scenes after SF retirement

The fans have paid their money, quite a lot in the case of a men’s semi-final ticket on Rod Laver. They’re entitled to show their own emotion, within accepted limits. Part of being a pro is handling the crowd.

Also, I’d be pretty worried if the only way my club could hang on to stars is to insert all these clauses.

'Leaked within minutes': Agent slams NRL clubs after Eels star shopped to rivals

You’re right, but there’s probably a lot on Brown’s mind. He is just about entering his peak years and the Eels are a bit of a mess. He has a better chance of winning a premiership elsewhere, if one of the heavyweights can make the cap work.

At a quick glance both the A-League and MLS look way too high, though MLS’ moderately sized grounds could allow for such a percentage.

Premiership Tiger arrested, charged with assault after alleged late-night incident

Forgot to mention in the copy that final crowd was a touch over 20,000. Well above Sydney’s average, but as always, I’d like to see that number even higher for a grudge match on a relatively mild day.

Sweet treat: Lolley brace seals crucial Big Blue triumph after 'unlucky' Machach send-off

Hill is the best commentator in 20 years of the A-League, McBreen a championship winner. If they don’t have a clue, who does?

Sweet treat: Lolley brace seals crucial Big Blue triumph after 'unlucky' Machach send-off

I’d have to watch it again, but I think it was more like upper chest or just below the neck, and the yellow card seemed sufficient.

Sena is the closest to a true 6 Sydney have, but he’s getting bullied off the ball too much.

'Not good enough': Sydney chasing first clean sheet in vital Big Blue

Yes, that’s a pretty succinct way of putting it.

'Not good enough': Sydney chasing first clean sheet in vital Big Blue

It’s not just Costa and Lolley (who’s had more good games than bad), but the other three visa players have been a mixed bag. Sena is the oldest at 28.

Grant’s been a great servant but there’s no one really snapping at his heels, which would let complacency seep in for any player.

Glory and Roar deserve plenty of criticism - but should the real heat be on misfiring contenders?

I tried running away from football. This is how I fell back in love with it

Thanks, David. Tough times ahead for the national teams but we will always have the 2022 and 2023 runs. Hope to see your byline or your face on camera soon.

I tried running away from football. This is how I fell back in love with it

I think it’s more the fickle nature of sports fans, combined with the heat, and perhaps the lack of transport options/frequency on a Friday night. The fans have always turned out for finals games on the coast, but perhaps a run of the mill regular season game isn’t that enticing.

A-League Talking Points: Talay's system exposed, new Goodwin in town, Perth hit rock bottom

Hi mate, we are aware (I’ve experienced it myself), and the feedback has been passed on to the relevant people.

The best game in Australian football right now is played in New Zealand

That’s fair, I’m not sure Zadkovich is up to the task. But do the owners have any appetite to fire him and bring in a new coach, when realistically, the season is almost gone?

A-League Talking Points: Auckland send more records tumbling, debutant's red card bites Sydney

Yeah, I was trying to watch the highlights last night and was pretty miffed they weren’t available then. It may be some odd AFC rule, knowing them, or it could just be sloppy by Ten.

Kids are alright: Academy-laden Sky Blues end ACL 2 group stage on high note

‘Committed’ is probably a strong term. Talay plays a much stronger line-up if they had to get three points to seal qualification. I don’t have the data in front of me, but the average age of Sydney’s starting line-up is surely up there, despite two young centre-halves anchoring the defence.
