Lord Ted was a Legend, my favorite player growing up. I would call these players “enigmatic” players . These players have unique skill sets, intriguing playing styles, or unpredictable performances.
These would include Benji, Rhys Wesser, Peter Jackson , to name a few.
Modesty is nothing to boast about: Nominations for Two-Bob Lair Hall of Fame now open
Maybe the Dragons will get a win for you today here’s hoping.
Five and a Kick: Latrell magic buries Broncos in Bunnies boilover, Des defies doubters as Titans escape Knights' clutches
Also the having the prawn Mornay fingers at Charlies after going to the rock, or going the pie shop after watching bands at the jet club in Coolangatta.
Queenslanders just don’t get Origin: A champion Maroons team from anywhere but the Sunshine State
That’s cool, I spent many a night at Bombay Rock. The coast back in the day was a great place to watch live music.
I missed getting in when the Cure played, but I did see a band called the Mullanes. A very early Crowded House, I was a big Split Enz Fan and saw them at the rock.
It was a great venue.

Yes Andrew I did forget the Beer Garden
I also think the red v might get up. Well I’m hoping.

I used to think, if you went to Bombay Rock , Melba’s, Fisho’s, the Playroom, the Patch or had XXXX you were classified a Queenslander.

Yes aerial, but a win next week at the gong, and then in Brisbane we can start singing the best team song. We can always dream.
NRL Magic Round Talking Points: Forget ninth, Tigers will definitely play finals this year
The Dragon’s in four games this year we have beaten ourselves through silly mistakes . Yes I also see the glass half full.
‘Never seen anything like this’: is Su’A clanger the worst bombed try in rugby league history?
Yes should start with Liddle. The young forward’s played well last night. And Luciano Leilua had one of his best games.
We still had problems with our defense with our winger’s and centre’s not combining well. It doesn’t matter who the winger or centre’s are. Pity we don’t have a Matt Cooper, Beau Scott or Nightingale running around in the lower grades.
The strange thing about this season other than Anzac Day we were all the games with a chance of winning.
‘Never seen anything like this’: is Su’A clanger the worst bombed try in rugby league history?
You are 100% correct. A win next week will help turn around our season. It was disappointing, but the team continued to play and try to turn it around. The 12 point turn around didn’t help, but the soft defence or defensive reads were the real issue we lost.
Their is always next week and on a glass half full side of things we are only one win from the eight.

It’s a pity the ref and bunker in this game weren’t around in the 99 grand final. The dragons would of won.
Five and a Kick: Moses instantly gives Eels more life as Easter Monday gets physical - and crackdown inconsistency is back
It will be interesting to watch Hunt attitude if he is selected at number 9 at the Broncos.
At the Dragons he always only wanted to play at 7, even though number 9 may of been better for the team.
Walsh sent for scans after injury scare, Hunt could lose halves berth with Maguire set to shake up spine
Yes Blocker has been good in the last couple of games. It is very important to have a harmonious side, something we haven’t had for a few years.
Five and a Kick: Sloan the new Lomax as Dragons make mockery of wooden spoon predictions with Manly upset
The thing that really impressed me regarding the Saints is what the new leadership group ( Gutho and Cookie) as well as others have brought to the team.
Players seem to be happier and are backing each other. The defence and attack has improved as well.
We can always dream that we are on the up.
Five and a Kick: Sloan the new Lomax as Dragons make mockery of wooden spoon predictions with Manly upset
As a fellow Dragons it’s good to see other clubs having issues with players wanting to leave.
Hopefully the Dragons can get a win over the Eagles tonight .
The red V do have a reasonable record against Manly.
NRL News: 'Here comes the money' - Teammates turn on Galvin, Gus calls situation 'untenable', Turbo set for switch
On the whole Galvin saga, l feel for the kid. It hasn’t been handled well by all involved. Galvin crime is he has stated he does not to be at the Tigers post 26.
In the history of the game their are many examples of players moving on, be it their choice or by the club choice. I can still remember how disappointed I was when Lord Ted left the Dragons to go to the Jets. But we know their always someone to take their place. In the case of Lord Ted he was replaced by Brian Johnson who was an outstanding Fullback for the club.
I will finish with a question How were Luai and Turuva treated by their Panther teammates when they signed with the tigers ?.

Me too, I wish Bud was still at the Red V, but the pull that Ben H had at the dragons was too much to overcome.
Hot or not: Ten NRL recruits who've hit the ground running - and five still finding their feet
Ewan came from my home town of Moree, he was amazing.
