Well deserved Jye, standing ovation and always gives 110% and plays with his heart on his sleeve.
Souths fans give Jye Gray standing ovation coming on... and he soon proves to be a lucky charm
Latrell’s looking absolutely fit and laser-focused, he’s a force to be reckoned with on both sides of the ball ( key moments: 2 pt field goal, try, two try saving tackles, strip). Deserved captain & MOM today leading the team to victory with his all-round brilliance.
Latrell follows up MONSTROUS two-point FG to sink Broncos with the most hilariously cheeky try you'll see
..and the tackle on a rampaging Payne Haas.
Five and a Kick: Latrell magic buries Broncos in Bunnies boilover, Des defies doubters as Titans escape Knights' clutches
An exceptional display from Trell, not only nailing the game-winning field goal from 49-metres out but also putting in a defensive masterclass, magnificent on both ends.

“Moses comeback delayed” of Biblical proportions if you’re a Parra fan.
NRL News: Moses comeback delayed, brawling Raiders fined, Warriors assistant coach banned, Storm star in strife again
The Cheese at Storm was definitely one of the game’s best and most entertaining players. He often outshone Grant (no mean feat). At the Chooks, for some reason it didn’t gel, I don’t think it was totally his fault. At the Bunnies he will regain his form, he is still in his prime years, and Bennett will no doubt get him back to his best. I hoped he could join the Bunnies for the rest of the year, as it appears both he and the chooks don’t want to be there together.
Brandon Smith signs two-year deal with bitter rivals despite 'pretty rough relationship' with new coach
Just a small adjustment.
Five and a Kick: Eels fans boo Brown as Galvin stars in Tigers romp, Burton and Kikau hobbled but Dogs belt Titans
Flanno is at full fault here, not the dragons’ players. As coach he hasn’t been able to get experienced heads like Gutho, Cook, Holmes to steer the team. The younger players were those that played well yesterday. Poor form how Flanno threw Ilias under the bus, hardly inspiring – you would never hear such comments from a Bennet/ Cleary or Bellamy, or any other decent coach.
Key recruit in the firing line as furious Flanagan threatens to wield axe after Dragons meltdown
Funny thing Robbo today was defending his decision to get rid of Sitili Tupouniua
Roosters are in for a shambolic year: once-cocksure fans already praying for a Sam Walker mid-season miracle
Andrew, hopefully champers for us tomorrow

SSTID – it was worth getting my KAYO subscription just to watch the chooks get pummeled last week (and the blood bath tonight). I’m beginning to enjoy this tragicomedy, grab the popcorn (a few beers) the show’s just getting started
Roosters are in for a shambolic year: once-cocksure fans already praying for a Sam Walker mid-season miracle
Roosters getting smacked around by the Broncos like a piñata at a kid’s party, it looks like a long party celebration for the rest of us in 2025.
Great article Dane but comparing their economic downturn to Keating’s recession? That’s a bit unfair to the recession. At least Keating’s recession had a chance of recovery, unlike the Roosters.

Anasta can’t help it he’s a rorter, rooster.
Commentator and player agent: NRL should block Anasta's absurd conflict of interest
Bit harsh on the Dragons, considering they were tipped for the spoon by some, IMO they will do well (but not top 6). With players like Cook, Holmes, and Gutho, there’s way too much experience and X-factor. Against the Dogs, they did well considering what the Dogs are set with in 2025: Burton bombs, Crichton and two wrecking ball second-rowers like Kikau and Sitili crashing through on either side. Not easy for a day 1 outing.
For all the hype over Dragons’ signings, they're still lacking that X-factor to be a genuine finals team
Best for the clubs to consider playing their respective mascots soon. Johnny The Eel and Ronnie the Rooster, Reggie the Rabbit is already warming up to take Souths wing spot.
Round 2 Team Lists Late Mail: Roosters star out, Cowboys axe Origin forward, Tino back at Titans, Dragons young gun recalled
I showed your comment to a mate who’s a professional llama whisperer, and he thought it was utterly ridiculous, but my other mate, who’s an amateur competitive napper, couldn’t stop laughing. Go figure, right?

The money’s well worth it if they avoid the wooden spoon in the next 10 years.
Brown strikes gold with $14m mega deal but Knights taking almighty gamble on player nowhere near top of NRL talent tree
I actually read that with a Donald Trump tone 😂

Well done Brown, wish him well. With the big bucks comes a lot of pressure something which he didn’t have at the Eels.

Dionysus let’s see while I am no Bronco’s fan, but geez they’re looking good, annihilated the Chooks in a way that they probably could to another dozen teams. I’d say it’s a toss-up between them and Storm(1 & 2), I don’t think Penrith have fired that well so far. The Broncs have a star-studded lineup – Haas, Carrigan, Walsh, Cobbo, Staags, Reynolds, Hunt, Riki and Hetherington all could pretty much walk into any top 4 team. Plus, the Madge factor, there will be no nail polish and he’ll be good for them at least for two years.
NRL Power Rankings: Round 1 - Roosters, Eels plunge into abyss already, new Dog delivers, no chinks in Storm armour
Based on Round 1 performance and current squad, you have got to have Broncos as 1. They’ve pretty much got a SOO squad, and Madge has got them primed)
My Top 6 Rankings
1. Broncos (couldn’t fault them)
2. Storm
3. Panthers (a little clunky and sans Luai and JFH)
4. Manly
5. Sharks
6. Bulldogs
Next tier for 7-8 positions
Then toss-up between Souths, Raiders, Dolphins.
Bottom Tier (last 8)
Knights, Saints, Cowboys, Titans, Warriors, Tigers, Eels & Chooks
Not sure how the author has Bronco’s 6th ! and Knights 7th!

Munro is a fantastic kid and player. This is bad luck for a night where he scored 2 tries. Wishing him a speedy and full recovery.
Double blow for Rabbitohs with star banned and young gun out long term
Reynolds masterclass.
Five and a Kick: Rampaging Broncos like men against boys as Haas dishes out immense Payne to Roosters rabble
Dont be fooled Bill. “Salmon” Sam is a chook supporter, he’s just to gutless to admit it.
Broncos fans disagree but Seibold actually can coach as Sea Eagles fly towards fleeting premiership window
It’s called cheating..
